The news is real and the robots are indeed being built.
But the image circulating on social media is fake (AI‑generated) and does not match the real appearance of these robots.

Besides fake images (AI‑generated), fake videos are also circulating showing these robots running and jumping over obstacles quickly and skillfully. But it is all fake.
In reality, they look much more “simplistic,” cannot stand upright on their own, have poor balance, are still in the testing phase, and still operate connected to power cables. They often lose balance and fall to the ground.
