Recently, scientists connected to NASA have been dying, as well as some ufologists and authors such as Erich Von Daniken and David Willcock.
It is said that there are already 12 people missing or dead in total, and that this is a “cover-up.”
July 30, 2023: Michael David Hicks, 59 years old, worked as a scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) from 1998 to 2022. He died in 2023; the cause of death was not disclosed.
2024: Frank Maiwald, a space research specialist, passed away in Los Angeles in 2024 at the age of 61.
January 10, 2026: Erich Von Daniken was hospitalized after a heart attack. The death does not seem very suspicious, as he was already 90 years old and hospitalized.
March 2026: NASA nuclear engineer Joshua LeBlanc, 29, was found dead in his burned Tesla in Huntsville. This death does seem suspicious; it is suspected to be suicide, but it could have been murder.
April 6, 2026: Researcher and author Nick Pope passed away due to stage 4 (terminal) esophageal cancer at the age of 60. The death does not appear to have been suspicious.
April 20, 2026: UFO author and researcher David Willcock was found dead at 53; it is claimed to have been suicide. This death does seem suspicious—David was famous, participated in UFO documentaries, and authored several books. Did he have hidden depression? Reasons for suicide? Or was he murdered?
Colorado police say they received a call from him during a mental health crisis episode.
Missing:
Monica Jacinto Reza, 60 years old, was a researcher in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at Aerojet Rocketdyne, a rocket engine design and manufacturing company based in the San Fernando Valley. Missing since June 2025.
William McCasland, a retired Air Force major general, disappeared. He left his home (in Albuquerque, New Mexico) without even taking his cellphone and was never seen again. The Major oversaw confidential government programs related to “unidentified anomalous phenomena” (UAPs).
For this article, I researched several sources; some Facebook and Instagram pages had inconsistencies, or lists with numbers of former scientists without mentioning their names and dates.
I found a “Fox News” link that no longer existed (404 error); it was removed.
I found these links from Newsweek and CNN:
