Gunman dies after shooting near the White House.

It is already becoming common!

The shooter was shot dead after an exchange of gunfire with Secret Service agents near the White House on Saturday, according to U.S. President Donald Trump and law enforcement officials.

According to Anthony Guglielmi, communications director for the U.S. Secret Service, the individual pulled out a weapon and began firing shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Saturday (May 23), in the area of the intersection between 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Trump was at the White House at the time but was not affected by the incident, Guglielmi added.

"Secret Service police returned fire, striking the suspect, who was transported to a local hospital, where he later died," the statement reads. "During the shootout, a bystander was also shot."

There are no reports of injured agents.
