The United States, it seems, wants to dominate all of Latin America (there are many reserves of oil, diamonds, and gold), and they are already "temporarily administering" Venezuela.
Now they say they will carry out military operations on the ground (yes, with soldiers) in Mexico, aiming, as always, to target drug cartels (yes, let's pretend we believe them).
Trump did not provide details about the timeline of these operations.
The Mexican president, Claudia Sheinbaum, criticized the measure.
"Any military attack on Mexican territory without the consent of the local government would be a violation of international law, as well as representing an unprecedented attack against an ally and important trading partner of the United States."
