Today (December 30), a news item circulated on social media about a UFO sighting in Montigo (near Fórum Montijo).
The news—note that I do not know if it is accurate—curiously only circulates on Facebook; it was not published in any credible newspaper nor mentioned on the news broadcasts.
The sighting, according to reports, occurred on December 29 (yesterday), and there were dozens of witnesses. There is even a photograph (although nowadays it is easy to forge such images with AI).
Vânia Rosário, the first internet user to share the photograph on social media along with a report, insists that it was not a drone because “it was very high and enormous”:
“When I looked, I couldn’t make out the shape or what it was, but since it was large and far away, I zoomed in with my phone. I was amazed by its shape when I saw it in the photograph because it wasn’t even clear to the naked eye.” Vânia also added that “the sun reflected off it, and the object shone as if it were aluminum” and that “it was bigger than an airplane, without a doubt.”
Other witnesses report having seen the object but did not have time to photograph it because it disappeared after a few moments.
