Microsoft experiences global outage and problem is affecting websites around the world.

Interestingly, last week there was a "failure" in Amazon cloud services (AWS: Amazon Web Services).

Now another "failure" on a global scale, this time from Microsoft. It's becoming a habit.

In addition to access to several websites being 'off', users are reporting difficulties with Outlook and associated services.

The problem was global, and occurred this Wednesday (29) at 4 pm.

In addition to access to several websites being 'down', users are reporting difficulties with Outlook and associated services.

The issue is a problem with the Microsoft Azure Cloud service, a platform that underpins much of the internet.

"We are investigating a problem affecting Azure Front Door services. (...) We will provide further updates soon," Microsoft wrote on social media.

Abroad, brands like Starbucks and Minecraft are being affected and, in the United Kingdom, the Scottish Parliament was forced to stop work due to failures in the online voting system.

On the Downdetector website, several users have reported problems on various platforms.
