Explosion in Central Oslo (Norway)

Breaking News.

Something strange is happening after unknown spy drones flew over Copenhagen Airport (Denmark) and Oslo Airport (Norway).

Now an explosion has occurred in downtown Oslo, Norway. Could the two events be related?

Norwegian police said Tuesday they are investigating an explosion on a street in central Oslo, adding that a suspect has been detained for questioning, Reuters reports. The suspect is a 13-year-old boy, TV2 and the newspaper Aftenposten reported, citing unidentified sources. Police officer Brian Skotnes, who was in charge of the operations at the scene, declined to comment on the suspect's age.

Police then carried out a second controlled explosion of a device found at the scene that, according to Brian Skotnes, resembled a "military-style" hand grenade.

Both explosions occurred near a university campus and about 500 meters from the Royal Palace and the Israeli embassy. No injuries were reported.

"We have arrested a suspect and are seeking more information, as are others," Skotnes said. "Our hypothesis is that this is a fight between criminal groups, but we can't rule anything out." The area is now safe, he added.
